Everyone should learn the basics of the GDPR, especially if you work with health personal data (= sensitive). This course has been created for every person who works with personal data in order to be more careful about how we deal with it, but also for every citizen who wants to know more about this European regulation which protect their data.

You will start with an introduction to the GDPR in order to make sure that you know the basics of the European regulation. Then, Kim will explain the objectives of the GDPR and define the Territorial Scope. After a short overview of the history of data protection, you will start to learn about the new roles and new rules. Once this is understood, Kim will ensure that you know the specific terms of the GDPR and will give you a few examples to demonstrate why the GDPR matters. Before to conclude, she will present you the different key actors of the creation of the GDPR.
This course has been specifically designed by experienced Data Protection Officers for people dealing with personal data who would like to understand the primary rules, requirements and benefits of the General Data Protection Regulation.
If you want to have a wider overview on personal data protection aspects, please note that this course can easily be combined with “Data Security” and “GDPR’s Concepts and Procedures” in order to enlarge the scope.
